Just a bit of old paint

Hiya

Well that week went rather fast...........

Well I completed my first card from the course 52 card Pick up.  Totally out of my comfort zone working on such a small space.  I wasn't going to blog the result as I feel I need to improve my skills for this course dramatically.  Then I stopped and thought about it for a while and you know it is all about the journey as Tim says. It felt good to push myself and I hope to complete the outstanding ones by March so that I have caught up before the next set are released.  But  1 down only 51 to go.

 So without further ado.

On the right is what it would have looked like before I got my hands on it.
The next lot all covered ready for me to start messing about with

All my paints arrived this week. The Distress paints are so amazing to work with and I am a happy bunny that I treated myself to the whole set at once.   Also the Crackle paints arrived that I won on Scrap 365 blog hop  and they are a welcome addition to my little world of crafting.

Oh My lord
Look at the marbling on these little beauties

Also cannot leave out my little play with Pan Pastels, loving them very much.

Just fab colours
Thanks for stopping by Tuck Towers, would love you to leave a comment.

Until the next time.

Hiya

What a week in Tuck Towers is all I can say.  Last Sunday I decided to put together a weekend workshop with the very talented Hels Sheridan to take place in July in the North East.  Have I ever done this before, erm  that would be a no,  has it been fun to arrange ERM that would be a YES..............Loving my life at the moment for sure.15 Lovely ladies will be descending on the North East for two days in July being taught by Hels, we have two fab projects in mind and we are going to have a blast, playing with all things inky, Holtz, Vecchi and Ranger................Just get in does life get any better than that, guess that would be a yes read on..............

Just had to share this .....

This morning I woke up and found that a fellow crafting buddy has signed me up and paid for an amazing on-line class by Stephanie Ackerman.  It is called 52  Card Pick up and it is amazing.  Here is a little picture of  how fab this course is going to be.

Can you believe that these were just plain old playing cards until Stephaine started playing with them, no pun intended.  The course is a year long and I am so looking forward to getting to grips with it.  A mega huge thank you to a lady called Karen for a wonderful present, you are a special lady for real.

The link below will take you to Stephanie blog and from there to 52 card pick up, go have a look see you will not be disappointed and join up for some fun.

Splodgeaway

I went to a local craft show today and met a very talented man called Tom.  He is the inventor of the Splodgeaway mat.  He very kindly demonstrated how to use the mat , using his fab masks and all I can say is wow.  I was sold, job done, want everyone I know who plays with inks to have one.  Go and have a look at his YouTube videos to see what I mean. Also big thank you to Sam who let me have a play with the mat myself.

Yep had to buy the BIG one

Love Heart

Hiya

Hope you have all had a good week and have managed to spend some quality time creating.

I am still in the Valentine mood, but it is wearing a bit thin now LOL. One more project to go and one abandoned project into the cupboard of doom.

I recently brought two black slate hearts i  saw in Hobbycraft.  I decided to start with the largest one and add a few bits and pieces, but I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone of only working with odd amounts of embellishments (i know strange). I have this real thing about odd numbers in life in general ..........So I decided to work with FOUR roses instead of three and believe me it was trauma.  I stuck it all down and then ripped it all off twice, before finally deciding that I could live with the finished piece.  Will not be doing that again in a hurry.

Love working with Perfect Pearls but I know have two bottles which will not spray, If anyone has an ideas other than using hot water please let me know.

Thank you for stopping by Tuck Towers, until the next time

Sue.
